Behaviour and Compatibility: They will eat smaller tank mates. They are peaceful with other fish their size. Some adults become aggresive but it is usally because they are kept in a tank that is too small. If they have enough space they can coexist with knifefish and large catfish.
Maintenance: They are messy fish so a good filtration system is essential. It is also a good idea to add big rocks or logs for hiding. They also enjoy floating plants but they may eat them.
