Aba Aba Knifefish (Gymnarchus niloticus) approximately 13-17 inches in length (various sizes)

Diet: Will occasionally eat flakes, carnivore, loves shrimp, worms, fish.

 

Behaviour and Compatibility: Probably not a good idea to keep with fish as it gets larger. These fish grow to be the size of 5 feet they are going to require a very large tank. They are aggressive and preditory.

 

Maintenance:  Extremely messy fish. Needs an amazing filtration system a sump pump style filtration works best. They live to be around 10 to 15 years old depending on water conditions and care. They are considered expert level fish they are going to require a very large tank 300+ gallons as they grow.
